I am an Assistant Professor of Global Politics at California State University, Humboldt [Humboldt State]. Previously, I was an Andrew Mellon Foundation and American Council of Learned Societies doctoral fellow.

Starting in Fall 2018, I will be an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Purdue University.

I research how public and private relations produce power in global politics. I have three ongoing research projects. One examines sovereign power in security contractors, business associations, and NGOs. Another investigates the English East India Company as a great power. Finally, my latest project explores global corporate power and political responsibility.

I received a Ph.D. in Political Science from Northwestern University, where I was also affiliated as a graduate fellow in the Center for Legal Studies and the Buffett Institute for Global Studies.
