I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Purdue University. Previously, I was an Assistant Professor of Global Politics at Humboldt State University and a Andrew Mellon Foundation and American Council of Learned Societies doctoral fellow.
I research how public and private relations produce power in global politics. I have three ongoing research projects. One examines sovereign power in security contractors, business associations, and NGOs. Another investigates the English East India Company as a great power. Finally, my latest project explores global corporate power and political responsibility.
I lead an undergraduate research group at Purdue on Big Tech and Political Responsibility. The first project is producing an original dataset of all Facebook scandals from 2004 till present.
