Born and raised in New Delhi, I attended middle school in The Hague and high school in San Diego. At the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), I majored in Political Science and Global Studies and then served a one-year AmeriCorps term with Public Allies in Phoenix. I received an M.A. in International Relations at the University of Chicago (CIR) with a second year of specialization. I then completed my Ph.D. in Political Science from Northwestern University.
